Audio File Download Information

All songs are iPod compatible. What can you do with downloaded song files? Listen to the full songs on your computer. Burn the songs to a CD (software required) - play it to your worship team to make it easier to learn the song. Take the music with you - transfer the songs to an iPod or MP3 player to listen and worship on the move.

Phatfish audio file downloads are made available in a choice of two formats: MP3 and AAC. MP3’s are one of the most compatible audio formats around. Therefore assuming you have the latest version of your Operating System, you should already be able to download and listen to them without the need for extra software. MP3’s are PC and Macintosh compatible as well as compatible with audio players such as the Apple iPod, your PDA and even possibly your mobile phone! In addition MP3’s can often be loaded on CD’s to work on a compatible car or personal CD players.

AAC achieves better quality sound than the more prevalent MP3 format when compared at the same bitrate. It is the default file format used by iTunes for encoding music. Whatever your operating system if you have iTunes installed, then you can use your computer and your Apple iPod to play back AAC files. Some equipment (e.g. certain non-Apple MP3 players) may be unable to playback AAC files. Whether you choose MP3 or AAC, please check with the appropriate manual before attempting to download and use the Phatfish audio files on your own audio equipment.

Download times & speeds.
Phatfish recommends the use of a broadband internet connection to download your audio files. Typically, an MP3 audio song file is about 5Mb in size and should only take a few minutes to download via a broadband connection. Unfortunately although it is technically possible to download files using a dialup connection, it will take a significant amount of time to download and may prove to be unreliable.

USING ITUNES TO PLAY YOUR Audio Files.
iTunes is Phatfish's recommended music player, as it is arguably the simplest to use. iTunes can be downloaded for FREE by visiting www.apple.com. If you are using iTunes you can add the audio files to your Library by selecting all the files and dragging them onto the iTunes window. The music can then be browsed in the Library by: Artist- e.g. Phatfish. If for any reason you lose your downloaded file or the download fails, it can be downloaded again by logging into the site, entering the ‘My Details’ section and viewing the previous orders made from your account. A link to the file can be found again here.

Please Note: You are only given 7 days or 5 download attempts to obtain your audio file. Once either of these have expired, you will not be able to download this file again without repurchasing it. Therefore Phatfish strongly advises that you make a copy of this file onto a CD or a disk and keep separate from your computer, so that it can be recovered again in the event of a computer failure.
